Dentures
Grants Pass, OR

Dentures in a glass of water sitting on the palm of a handThere are few options for restoring multiple missing teeth, including an entire arch, that offer the same combination of reliability and affordability as dentures do. The Center for Esthetic Dentistry offers both complete denture sets and partials to accommodate all of your needs.

Complete Dentures

There are few dental appliances that are as iconic or instantly recognizable as complete dentures, which resemble a full set of teeth. Complete dentures are helping countless Americans restore their smiles after losing all of their teeth on the top or bottom of their mouth. Complete dentures can be completely non-invasive, stabilizing themselves by creating a firm seal with your gums. For a more stable fit, albeit one that requires surgery, implant-anchored dentures use small titanium rods placed in the jaw.

Partial Dentures

Partial dentures are very similar to complete dentures, but are for patients that do not require as extensive of a restoration. If you still have a number of healthy teeth, or teeth that we believe can be preserved, then partial dentures can allow you to keep your good teeth while replacing the bad ones. Most partial dentures are designed for mouths where there are missing teeth on both the left and right sides.

How Dentures Can Help You

Dentures can help you by giving you back the use of your teeth. If you are missing a large number of teeth, or if you have a mouth full of unhealthy teeth causing you chronic discomfort, then dentures can truly make a dramatic difference. Missing teeth can cause speech impediments, lower your self-confidence, and trigger a cascade of other health problems as teeth drift out of place. Restoring your health is not the only thing that dentures can do - they can also make you look younger again. When you are missing teeth, this can change your appearance by causing your facial features to sag. Dentures give your face a full, youthful appearance once again.

Getting Dentures

Before you can receive your permanent dentures, we first have to inspect your mouth so that we can design your replacement teeth to fit perfectly. We do this by taking x-rays and impressions that create a complete, three-dimensional representation of the inside of your mouth so that our advanced fabrication techniques can manufacture dentures with unerring precision. During this step, we will also extract any of your remaining teeth to make space for the dentures and give your mouth time to heal during the fabrication process. We will give you temporary dentures until your permanent set is finished being produced so that you can leave our office that same day with a degree of functionality.
